Expansion Pack – PA11

Pixelated Audio - Video Game Music podcast and Retro Gaming pixelated audio - episode 11 expansion pack

We’re taking a side-step from our normal format today with a new segment to supplement our normal bi-weekly show. Pixelated Audio Expansion Pack is kind of like a random mix of stuff we’ve either recently discovered or some music from games that may not fit into a specific show (at least any time soon). They’ll be a bit shorter and fall into the slots between the off-weeks but we figured this one can start us out. Hope you dig it.

Nice episode! That Dungeon Explorer II track totally sounds like September by Earth, Wind and Fire. I like that you’ve brought a lot of oft-overlooked music here, but it’s all very good!

Discovered you’re podcast a week or so ago, just going through them all now. This is the one I’m currently on, it won’t take long for me to get up to date. Loving it, good stuff, thanks for making the podcast. By the way, X-Men: Children of the Atom was developed by Capcom, not Rutubo Games. They may have ported the game to the Saturn, but it’s pretty much just like the arcade version, just with less frames of animation. Also the arcade music is identical to the Saturn, so I think of it as an arcade game first. Capcom created it and it was the start of the long running Marvel vs Capcom series.

I’m just nit-picking, but it just sounds odd to hear it described as ‘developed by Rutubo Games’.

Thanks for the good tracks, you play quite a few things I’ve been waiting for, which never come up on other VGM podcasts.

awesome that you found us and we’re happy you’re going thru the backlog! i know what you mean, developed by Rutubo sounds odd to us too since we also think of it FIRST as an arcade title. but your right, its capcom developed so we should have clarified and said ‘ported’ which was probably just a slip up on our part :) thanks for the feedback batzarro!
